Ingredient Notes:

Eggs: For best results, use room-temperature eggs. Remove them for about 30 minutes before you make the lasagna.

Shredded Mozzarella Cheese: I prefer to shred my cheese, as it melts better than store-bought shredded cheese. Since the packaged cheese has a coating of wood pulp over your cheese, it will not melt as well as freshly shredded cheese.

Marinara Sauce: You can either use store-bought or homemade.

Add-Ins and Variations:

Does the idea of making a lasagna from scratch scare you? It doesn’t have to. This recipe for egg lasagna is perfect for cooks who are short on time or who want to add a little something extra to their lasagna. The recipe is simple and easy to follow. Here are some simple add-ins.

Meat: You can use anything from simple ground beef, ground chicken, ground turkey, or even ground bison. My kids loved when I added chorizo or Italian Sausage to the mix. Remember to make sure that all of the meat you add is fully cooked!

Vegetables: Do you love lasagna but don’t eat meat? Have no fear! There are plenty of delicious vegetables that you can use to create a tasty dish. You can add anything from simple diced zucchini to tomatoes and even some grated zucchini noodles. This is a versatile dish. And remember, if you are following a keto or low-carb lifestyle, keep your vegetable keto and low-carb friendly!

Cheese: You can substitute any of your favorite cheese for this recipe, including using a dairy-free alternative. Some great options are shredded cheddar cheese, shredded Monterey Jack, and you can even use feta crumbles.
