I had to make Panera’s new Flatbread Pepperoni Pizza. I am not typically a fan of pizza, but this one was so good! It has pepperoni and cheese, and you can even use Hot & Spicy Pepperoni for those who love their food with some spice. The best part is how light the flatbread comes out from the air fryer, and it’s so good, it will soon become one of your favorite Air Fryer Lunch or Dinner Recipes!

In the weeks to come, I hope to make all of their Flatbread Creations right in my air fryer because EVERYONE LOVES PIZZA, and nothing cooks up a great pizza, like your trusty air fryer!

What’s on Panera’s Pepperoni Pizza?

Panera Bread’s Pepperoni Pizza is an excellent option for those who want to enjoy the taste of traditional Italian cuisine but don’t have time to make it themselves. This pizza is the perfect blend of flavors with fresh, perfectly cooked ingredients. The sauce has an outstanding balance and doesn’t overwhelm your taste buds like some other pizzas can do!

Today our Copycat Version starts by using thick-sliced pepperoni on top; we then add plenty more cheese—mozzarella or fontina (a mild white Swiss), all blended before being baked in the air fryer; until golden brown at the edges!

Recipe Notes For Air Fryer Copycat Panera Pepperoni Flatbread Recipe

  • Flatbread Or Naan: This is a quick and easy alternative to making your pizza crust. There are plenty of different brands that make pre-packaged flatbread, my favorite being Stonefire Bread!
  • You can usually find these by the regular bread or in the deli section near tortillas at grocery stores like Walmart or even Target. For a healthier option, try out Fathead Flatbread for a Keto or Low-Carb Option. For gluten-free folks, try out O’Dough Gluten Free Flatbreads.
  • Pizza sauce: You can either use a tomato paste o your favorite tomato sauce. I have found that you can use a low-carb or Keto-Friendly option, such as Keto Classic Pasta Sauce, Yo-Mama’s.
  • Cheese: The traditional version at Panera uses Shredded Fontina Cheese. Today I used a blend of shredded mozzarella and fontina cheese. You can either purchase the pre-shredded or shred it yourself.

Storing

Place the leftover Air Fryer Copycat Panera Pepperoni Flatbread into an airtight container, and place it in the refrigerator; it just lasts for 2 to 3 days.

How To Make Ahead

These make for great make-ahead meals, and they freeze beautifully. My kids love popping one of these frozen treats into the air fryer. You can freeze them unbaked for a quick dinner or lunch made in the air fryer.
