Celery Root: You can find celery root in almost American Grocery stores, in the produce department.

Olive Oil: You can also use avocado oil, grapeseed, coconut oil, or high heat cooking oil.

Seasoning: Garlic Powder, Salt, and Black Pepper.

How To Make Air Fryer Celery Root Fries

Preheat the air fryer to 400˚F (200˚C). In a medium-sized bowl, toss sticks of celery root with olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, and salt and pepper to taste.

Add celery root sticks to the air fryer basket—Cook for 10 minutes. Shake the basket to toss fries around. Cook for another 8 minutes or until the fries are crispy.

Pro Tips:

Batches: For best results, work in batches, leaving space around the celery root fries as they cook up. Otherwise, they will not get crispy.

Not Crispy: Add more time. If you notice that your celery root fries are not crispy, continue to cook until they are crispy!

Flipping: You may need to flip your celery root fries halfway through the cooking process, depending on what air fryer you own.

I used simple seasonings, but you can add some spice by using cayenne or paprika to the fries.

  • 1 celery root, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch sticks
  • 1 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400˚F (200˚C).
  • In a medium-sized bowl, toss sticks of celery root with olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, and salt and pepper to taste.
