What Is Beer Can Chicken?
While the traditional method of cooking a beer can chicken is usually done on the grill or in the oven. And by using a grill or a range, you would see the whole Chicken is by cooking it upright on an open can of beer. Really! This technique, called Beer Can Chicken, makes for moist and tender meat with crispy skin. The pressure from the can keeps the cavity closed while cooking so that more flavor gets into the meat through osmosis.
But, today, we switched the cooking method up and used a beer can bath, meaning we poured the beer over the chicken to get the same great flavors, but by using the air fryer.
The reason was that depending on which air fryer you own, you would not have the space to stand a whole chicken up. But we wanted the same flavors.

Pour your beer into a large bowl; the bowl should be larger than your Chicken. The amount of beer that you will need will be determined by how big your Chicken is.

When ready to cook your chicken, remove it from the beer mixture, discarding the beer.
