Near East makes a great rice pilaf that can be easily made in the Instant Pot. Simply add water, oil, and the contents of the box to the pot, select the “rice” setting, and let it do its thing.   • Packaged Rice Pilaf: Use either Near East, Rice A Roni, or Trader Joe’s, of course, you can also use the store brand.
  • Water
  • Butter

Add the rice package and the seasoning mix, and the butter to the Instant pot Bowl. Press saute and saute for about 2 minutes, (stirring constantly) while the butter melts. The rice will get a toasted flavor.

While I have not done this, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. The cooking time would be the same, but you would need to add more water, remember to make sure that the e rice is covered with water, and double your butter.

The cooking time is 12 minutes, but if you add the time that the pressure needs to come, it would be about 20 minutes, from start to finish.
