How To Make Air Fryer DIY Frozen Uncrustables

Step One: Lay out your slices of bread. Spread peanut butter on one slice and jelly on another. Add any optional fillings.

Step Two: Press the slices together and use a round cookie cutter or Sandwich Cutter and Sealer to seal the edges tightly.

Step Three: Set your air fryer temperature to 350 degrees F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes.

Step Four: Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray and brush exposed bread edges with butter. Place the sealed sandwiches in the basket without overlapping, and cook for 3–5 minutes until golden and warmed through. Let the pockets cool for a minute or two before serving to prevent hot filling burns.

Air Fryer Homemade Uncrustables Recipe Tips
- Seal the edges well: Use a cookie cutter or sandwich press to prevent filling from leaking.
- Don’t overcrowd the basket: Cook a few pockets at a time for even heating.
- Custom fillings: Try Nutella, almond butter, or cream cheese for variety.
- Check cooking time: Air fryer models vary; watch until the sandwiches are lightly golden.
- Optional crispiness: Brush exposed bread with butter for a golden, slightly crisp finish.
Storing Instructions
- Room Temperature: Best enjoyed immediately. Uncrustables are warm and gooey fresh from the air fryer.
- Refrigerator: Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat briefly in the air fryer or microwave.
- Freezer: Wrap individually in foil and freeze for up to 1 month. Thaw in the fridge before reheating.
