Air Fryer Weight Watcher Grilled Cheese

Air Fryer Weight Watcher Grilled Cheese

Air Fryer Weight Watcher Grilled Cheese is amazing! If you are looking for a great low-calorie lunch, this is one of my favorites!

I love a GREAT grilled cheese sandwich, you know where the cheesy is oozing out, and the bread is perfectly crisped up, and this is amazingly easy in the air fryer. With my kids home more and more doing virtual school, I have been working on finding healthy (sometimes) and easy lunch options, and you can not go wrong with Air Fryer Grilled Cheese.

I am working hard to make a whole directory of Weight Watchers Air Fryer Recipes, which is one of the easiest to start with. I did differently because I used reduced-calorie bread, a light buttery spread, and a couple of Velveeta Cheese slices.

How To Make Air Fryer Weight Watcher Grilled Cheese

Ingredients Used In Air Fryer Weight Watcher Grilled Cheese

  • Aunt Millie’s 35 Calorie Whole Grain Bread
  • Velveeta Cheese Slices
  • Brummel & Brown Orginal Spread Butter

How To Make Air Fryer Weight Watcher Grilled Cheese

Start by spreading your bread with the spread.

Place the butter sided down in the air fryer basket, and then place your cheese and top with the other bread (butter side up). Set the temperature to 350 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 5 minutes. Then flip the sandwich and air fry for another 3-5 minutes until your bread is golden brown.

CAN I ADD MEAT TO THE SANDWICH

Want to transform your grilled cheese into a grilled ham and cheese? Or you might want to use up some leftover turkey from the holidays. Go ahead and pile on any of your favorite meats for added flavor to your sandwich.

DOES GRILLED CHEESE STORE WELL

Unfortunately, no. You will find this sandwich is best served fresh and warm. Otherwise, your sandwich will lose the crispy texture you know and love from this sandwich.

I recommend making these when you want to eat them.

WHAT GOES GOOD ON GRILLED CHEESE

  • Avocado
  • Caramelized onions
  • Ham, turkey, etc
  • Sliced tomato
  • Spinach
  • Mushrooms
  • Etc

Feel free to add more layers of flavor to your grilled cheese sandwich. Get creative and enjoy a fun and delicious recipe for you to serve up your family.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GRILLED CHEESE AND A MELT?

Grilled cheese and melts are very similar. The biggest difference is a melt tends to have other ingredients besides bread, mayo, and cheese. Melts tend to have items like tuna, other meats, etc.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH GRILLED CHEESE

  • Soup
  • Chips
  • Salad
  • French Fries
  • Apples
  • Fruit Salad
  • Etc

Do something simple or whip up your favorite side dish. Go ahead and make whatever sounds good. We tend to do simply like chips and a pickle, or soup.

TIPS FOR MAKING AN AIR FRIED GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH

  • Make sure not to saturate bread with the mayo or toast up the way you want.
  • If you are worried about the sandwich coming part, put a toothpick or two in the sandwich to secure it.
  • You can use any bread you like, from Texas toast, whole wheat, honey oat, classic white, etc.
  • Make sure not to overlap the bread, so you get an even cook.
  • Also, use the cooking time as a guide. Depending on bread thickness, the time can cook fast or slower than in the recipe card.

I haven’t made this exactly yet, but that is the exact bread and spread I have. I’m going to switch out for the Velveeta slices.

Btw, I use Smithfield tiny Ham dices in many single serving recipes. Only 1-2 points depending on how much is needed. 1-oz is usually plenty.
