How To Make Air Fryer Hawaiian Pizza Flat Bread

Preheating air fryer and spreading marinara sauce evenly on naan bread edges left exposed

Step One: Begin by preheating your air fryer to 350°F on the Air Fryer setting. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over the naan bread, leaving a small border around the edges if you prefer a visible crust.

Step Two: Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the marinara sauce, then top with diced ham and juicy pineapple chunks.

Air Fryer Hawaiian Pizza Flat Bread Recipe Tips

  • Preheat the air fryer: A hot basket helps the flatbread crisp up faster and cook evenly.
  • Don’t overload the toppings: Too much sauce or pineapple can make the flatbread soggy.
  • Pat the pineapple dry: This keeps extra moisture from soaking into the crust.
  • Shred your own cheese if possible: It melts smoother and gives better coverage.
  • Watch the last few minutes closely: Air fryers cook fast, and the cheese can brown quickly.
  • Add fresh flavor after cooking: A sprinkle of fresh basil or red pepper flakes adds a nice finishing touch.

Storing, Freezing And Reheating Instructions

  • Storing: Store leftover Hawaiian flatbread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Let it cool completely before storing to prevent sogginess.
  • Freezing: Wrap cooled flatbread slices tightly in plastic wrap and place in a freezer-safe bag. Freeze for up to 2 months for best flavor and texture.
  • Reheating: Reheat in the air fryer at 320°F for 3–4 minutes until heated through and crispy. Avoid the microwave if possible, as it can make the crust soft.

Air Fryer Hawaiian Pizza Flat Bread Recipe Faqs

Can I use a different type of flatbread? Yes, you can swap naan for pita, traditional flatbread, or even pre-baked pizza crust. Just adjust the cooking time slightly if the bread is thinner or thicker.

Do I need to cook the ham first? No, diced ham is already cooked and only needs to be heated through in the air fryer.

Can I use canned pineapple? Absolutely. Just drain it well and pat it dry so the extra juice doesn’t make the flatbread soggy.

How do I keep the crust crispy? Avoid overloading with sauce and toppings, and always preheat the air fryer so the crust starts crisping right away.

Can I make it vegetarian? Yes, simply skip the ham and add extra pineapple or your favorite veggies like bell peppers or red onion.

How long does it take to cook? Most flatbreads cook in 5–8 minutes at 350°F, depending on thickness and how crispy you like the edges.
