How To Make Air Fryer Mug Brownie

Step 1: In a oven-safe mug, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and chocolate chips, mixing until evenly blended. Add vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract, then stir until the batter is smooth and fully combined.

Step 2: Place the mug in the air fryer and cook at 330°F for 5 to 7 minutes using the air fryer setting.

Air Fryer Mug Brownie Recipe Tips
- Use a oven-safe mug that’s also air fryer safe
- Don’t overmix the batter to keep it soft and fudgy
- Fill mug only halfway to prevent overflow while cooking
- Check early to avoid overbaking since air fryers vary
- Add chocolate chips on top for extra gooey pockets
- Let it cool 1–2 minutes before digging in for best texture
- Adjust sweetness by slightly reducing or increasing sugar
- Serve immediately for the best warm, molten brownie experience
Storing and Make Ahead Instructions
- Storing Instructions: Store any leftover mug brownie in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 day. For longer freshness, refrigerate for up to 3 days and reheat before serving.
- Make Ahead Instructions: You can mix the dry ingredients ahead of time and store them in a sealed container or jar. When ready to cook, just add the wet ingredients and air fry for a fresh, warm brownie in minutes.

Mug Brownie Air Fryer Recipe Faqs
Can I use a regular mug in the air fryer? Yes, as long as it is labeled oven-safe or air fryer safe. Avoid thin or delicate mugs that may crack.
Why is my mug brownie dry? It was likely overcooked. Air fryers cook fast, so start checking a minute or two early.
Can I double the recipe? Yes, but use a larger ramekin or cook in two separate mugs for even baking.
Do I need eggs for this recipe? No, this mug brownie is egg-free and still turns out rich and fudgy.
Can I make this in the microwave instead? Yes, cook in the microwave for about 60-90 seconds depending on power.
How do I make it extra gooey? Add extra chocolate chips in the center before cooking for a molten middle.
