Frontier Scallops Recipe Tips

  • Use dry-packed scallops – Avoid pre-soaked scallops for a better sear and golden crust.
  • Pat scallops completely dry – Moisture prevents proper caramelization, so use paper towels before cooking.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan – Give each scallop space to sear evenly instead of steaming.
  • High heat is key – Sear quickly on medium-high heat to get that restaurant-quality crust.
  • Finish with fresh flavors – A squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of fresh herbs enhances the natural taste.

Storing & Reheating Frontier Scallops

  • Storing: Store leftover scallops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Make sure they are fully cooled before sealing to maintain texture and flavor.
  • Reheating: Gently reheat scallops in a skillet over low heat to avoid overcooking. Avoid microwaving, as it can make the scallops rubbery and tough.

Frontier Scallops Recipe Faqs

Can I use frozen scallops? Yes, but make sure to fully thaw and pat them dry before cooking to achieve a proper sear.

How do I know when scallops are cooked? Scallops are done when they are opaque in the center and slightly firm to the touch.

Can I cook scallops in butter only? Yes, but combining butter with a high-smoke-point oil like olive or avocado oil prevents burning and gives a perfect sear.

What sides pair well with Frontier scallops? Roasted vegetables, garlic butter pasta, rice, or a fresh green salad complement the delicate flavor of scallops.

How do I prevent scallops from sticking to the pan? Ensure the pan is hot before adding scallops, use a little oil, and avoid moving them until a golden crust forms.
