How To Cook Ninja Woodfire Grill Salmon

Here are the simple steps for making a perfect Ninja Woodfire Grille Salmon Recipe:

Ninja Woodfire Grill Salmon

Place a scoop of food-grade wood pellets into the wood pellet burner of your Ninja Woodfire grill. Remember to not use any wood pellets that are not food-grade safe.

Ninja Woodfire Grill Salmon

Turn on the Ninja Woodfire grill to the ‘Smoke’ setting. Press the Woodfire Flavor Technology button. Next, set the heat to ‘Medium’ heat. Allow the Ninja Woodfire to Preheat. Be sure to not add food to the Ninja Woodfire until the display says ‘Add Food’, otherwise you risk your salmon falling apart due to sticking to a cold grill.

While the Ninja Woodfire is preheating, pat each salmon filet dry with a paper towel. Press the paper towel down gently to absorb some of the extra water.  Pour the oil into a large bowl. Dip each salmon filet into the oil on both sides. Set the salmon aside one by one.  Add a desired amount of salt and ground black peppercorn to each salmon filet.

  • Monitor the Temperature: Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the salmon, aiming for 145°F (63°C) for perfectly cooked fish.
  • Add Lemon for Brightness: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon just before serving to add a zesty brightness that complements the smoky flavor.
  • Avoid Overcrowding: Place the salmon filets in a single layer on the grill, ensuring they aren’t overcrowded, to allow for even cooking and proper airflow.
  • Let it Rest: Allow the salmon to rest for a few minutes after grilling to let the juices redistribute, ensuring a moist and flavorful result.
  • Experiment with Wood Pellets: Try different types of wood pellets for unique smoky flavors that can enhance the taste of your salmon.
