Air Fryer Sweet Potato Noodles — I love the taste and color that sweet potato noodles bring to this dish. They’re not only an excellent replacement for traditional spaghetti, but they also pack a nutritional punch with their healthy dose of vitamins A & C!
I have a confession to make. I never thought of making pasta from sweet potato noodles in the air fryer! But one of my best friends wanted to try this after she tried my Air Fryer Zoodles from Zucchini! And these are so good, and I wanted to share!
What Are Sweet Potato Noodles?
Sweet potatoes are a favorite vegetable of many people. They’re full of essential nutrients and can be prepared in a variety of ways. Some like to eat them boiled, mashed, or baked, while others prefer the oven-roasted and crispy style.
One way that you may not have thought about preparing sweet potatoes is by making noodles out of them! The best part about these noodles is that they are gluten-free, paleo-friendly, vegan, low calorie, and delicious!
Today, we deliver a great batch of Air Fried — Air Fryer Sweet Potato Noodles. We are making Air Fryer Sweet Potato Noodles in the Air Fryer! For a great and easy roasted meal!
Ingredient Needed For Air Fryer Sweet Potato Noodles
- Sweet Potatoes
- Olive Oil
- Sea Salt
- Black Pepper
How To Make Air Fryer Sweet Potato Noodles
Start by peeling your sweet potatoes, then place them in your spiralizer, and spiralize the noodles until you use all of your sweet potatoes up. Spread your Sweet Potato Noodles over a paper towel, let them sit for about 4 to 5 minutes.
Add the spiralized sweet potatoes, olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper to a large mixing bowl. Toss to coat.
Toss the spiraled sweet potato noodles into the air fryer basket. Set the temperature to 350 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 5 to 8 minutes. Shake the basket several times during the cooking process. Remove the noodles when they are the crisp that you would like.
Pro Tips:
The easiest way to prepare spiralized veggies? Use a tool like our favorite Ourokhome Noodle Maker! We spent less than $25 on ours and have had great success with it so far!
If you do not have a spiral noodle maker, you can use a julienne vegetable peeler.
Make sure that all Sweet Potato Noodles are coated with olive oil to help them crisp up. You can also use any other high heat oil, such as avocado oil, grapeseed oil, or even coconut oil.
Remember to shake the basket frequently during the cooking process to perfectly crisp up all of the noodles.
Are Sweet Potato Noodles Healthy?
Sweet potato noodles are a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional pasta. They’re high in fiber, low-calorie, and gluten-free.
In the last decade or so, food trends have been changing quickly as people become more health-conscious. One of these new trends is swapping out white flour for more natural ingredients like whole wheat, brown rice, quinoa, and sweet potatoes! Sweet potatoes have a lot going for them: they’re full of nutrients, including vitamin A & C, plus they’re low calorie (only about 100 calories per cup) which makes them perfect if you want to eat on the lighter side but still feel satisfied.
Are Sweet Potato Noodles Keto?
Ketogenic diets are characterized by their high fat and very low carb contents. The natural sweet potato contains a lot of carbs which makes it difficult for many people to maintain ketosis. You should avoid them.
The average sweet potato is between 25 to 30 grams of carbs.
What To Serve With Air Fryer Sweet Potato Noodles?
Air fryer sweet potato noodles are a healthy alternative to traditional pasta. They are made of only a few ingredients and have no added sugar or preservatives. You can use them in soups, salads, or as a side dish with your favorite protein.
What should you serve with the noodles? Here are some ideas for what to cook alongside these delicious air-fried vegetables:
- Sliced avocado drizzled with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Roasted broccoli tossed in olive oil, garlic powder, and sea salt
- Thinly sliced red onion sautéed in coconut oil until translucent
What Sauces To Serve With These Noodles:
While you can serve these with a simple olive oil, salt, and black pepper, you can also use some store-bought sauces to enhance the flavors.
Some of my favorites are:
- Bertolli Pasta Sauce, Garlic Alfredo Sauce
- Ragu Pasta Sauce, Hearty Onion, and Garlic Sauce
- White Truffle Oil

I made these for my son and me (we’re the only two sweet potato lovers in the family) and they were so tasty! I will definitely add these to our regular rotation.
