Ingredients 

  • 1/2 cup dried currants
  • 1 cup water

Scones:

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup Butter, cold butter, grated or frozen
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions
