Air Fryer Buffalo Meatballs

Air Fryer Buffalo Meatballs

These Air Fryer Buffalo Meatballs are the best game day, holiday, appetizer, or lunch for anyone! They are so good and full of flavor, and so easy to make in the air fryer.

If you have not made meatballs in the air fryer, let me tell you, they are truly amazing. They are so much healthier and easier than pan-frying or even baking.

I made these two times before I perfected the recipe, and my kids were like, mom, those are the bomb.

Buffalo meatballs are really popular because everyone likes spicy these days. I made homemade meatballs, using my grandmother’s recipe (adapted), and the sauce was so simple.

If you want a lighter meatball, just change them out for ground turkey or ground chicken.

  6. While the meatballs are air frying, in a small mixing bowl, mix together the sauce ingredients.
  7. Toss the meatballs with the sauce.

Some Common Questions Asked About Making Air Fryer Meatballs

Can You Use Frozen Meatballs?

Yes, the same cooking time would apply. Assuming that they are previously cooked.

Can You Freeze These Homemade Meatballs?

Yes, just do not add the sauce. Let them cool to room temperature and then place on a greased baking sheet. Place the baking sheet into the freezer when the individual meatballs are frozen. Remove, and place it into a Ziploc freezer bag. They will say frozen for about 1 to 2 months.

To cook from frozen, simply follow the directions below in the recipe.

Some Tips for Making Meatballs In The Air Fryer:

  1. Make sure they are spread out. They will not be cooked correctly if they are stacked on each other.
  2. You do not need to spray the air fryer basket, because the meatballs will let out some grease, they will not stick.
  3. Use a meat thermometer to tell when they are fully cooked, the internal temperature should reach 160 degrees F.
