So, you just purchased an air fryer. And you hear all of the Facebook Groups talking about chickpeas. You think to yourself, did you miss something? How about today’s recipe for Air Fryer Crispy Tex-Mex Roasted Chickpeas–
No, for the past few years roasted chickpeas have been the rage if you go, to a health food store, you will see them on sale for about $5.00. Today, I will show you a great recipe, that should cost you no more than $1.00. Quite a bit of saving huh.
Here are the ingredients that we will be using in our Tex-Mex Roasted Chickpeas–
- Canned chickpeas
- Olive oil
- Black pepper
- Ground cumin
- Smoked paprika
- Garlic powder
- Chili powder
And The Simple Steps For Tex-Mex Roasted Chickpeas–
Start by draining the chickpeas, the more liquid you can drain, the better the chickpeas will come out. If you want them crunchy, remove most of the liquid, via your strainer, and then place them on a kitchen towel, to fully dry them.
Gather your spices and olive oil. Most of these ingredients are probably already in your spice cabinet.
Once your chickpeas are drained add the spices and olive oil.
Then mix well, combining all of the spices and olive oil. Check to make sure all of the olive oil have olive oil on them, this will help them crisp up.
Then slip your baking pan into your air fryer.
