Then use a toothpick or a piece of a wooden skewer. Use it to lift out the black or brown vein. Gently lift, and it will remove the vein. Then place the vein on a paper towel.
How to Know When Shrimp Is Done
Shrimp is done when it is opaque and white. You will find shrimp is white with a slightly pink or red accent. You want to make sure to get your shrimp fully cooked, or it can make you sick.
Also, you will find that shrimp curls up a bit as it is fully cooked.
