How To Make Jason’s Deli Pasta Salad

Step One: Boil rotini or macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking.
Step Two: In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.

Step Three: Stir in diced bell peppers, celery, red onion (if using), and shredded or cubed cheddar cheese.
Step Four: Gently fold the cooled pasta into the dressing and vegetable mixture until everything is evenly coated.
Step Five: Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld. Give the salad a quick stir before serving. Optional: garnish with extra shredded cheese or fresh herbs for presentation.

Jason’s Deli Pasta Salad Recipe Tips
- Cook pasta al dente: Slightly firm pasta holds its shape better after chilling.
- Cool pasta completely: Rinsing under cold water stops cooking and prevents sogginess.
- Chop evenly: Dice veggies and cheese into small, uniform pieces for balanced flavor in every bite.
- Adjust to taste: Add more vinegar for tang, sugar for sweetness, or seasoning for extra flavor.
- Make ahead: Chill at least 2 hours (or overnight) for the best flavor.
- Customize it: Mix in diced ham, bacon, or extra veggies to make it your own.
Storing & Make Ahead Instructions
- Storing: Store pasta salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep it fresh. It will last up to 3 days, but for best texture, enjoy within the first 48 hours.
- Make Ahead: This salad is perfect for preparing a day in advance since the flavors deepen as it chills. Just give it a quick stir before serving and, if needed, add a spoonful of mayo or sour cream to refresh the creaminess.

Jason’s Deli Pasta Salad Recipe Faqs
Can I make this pasta salad ahead of time? Yes! In fact, it tastes even better when made a few hours or a day ahead, giving the flavors time to meld together.
How long does Jason’s Deli Pasta Salad last in the fridge? Stored in an airtight container, it will stay fresh for up to 3 days. For the best taste and texture, enjoy within 48 hours.
