Air Fryer Spicy Garlic Roasted Chickpeas Recipe Faqs

Can I use dried chickpeas instead of canned? Yes, but you’ll need to soak and cook dried chickpeas before using them. Ensure they’re completely cooked and well-drained.

What can I use if I don’t have garlic powder? You can substitute with minced fresh garlic or garlic granules. Adjust the amount based on your taste preference.

How can I make this recipe less spicy? Reduce or omit the chili powder and cayenne pepper to adjust the spice level. You can also add a pinch of sugar to balance the heat.

How do I achieve maximum crispiness? Ensure chickpeas are fully dried before air frying. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket, and shake or stir them halfway through cooking for even crispiness.

Can I use other spices in this recipe? Absolutely! Feel free to experiment with other spices like paprika, cumin, or turmeric for different flavor profiles.

How should I store leftover spicy garlic roasted chickpeas? Store in an airtight container at room temperature. They should stay crispy for up to a week.

What if my chickpeas aren’t crispy after the cooking time? Continue air frying in 2-minute increments, checking frequently to avoid burning, until they reach the desired crispiness.

Can I make a larger batch at once? Yes, but cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket, which can lead to uneven cooking.
