The air fryer has been all the rage lately, and for a good reason! It’s a great way to cook food with little to no oil. I wanted to try out some chocolate raspberry cupcakes in my air fryer this week. The recipe is easy to follow and only calls for a few ingredients.

Air Fryer Chocolate Raspberry Cupcakes
  • Devil’s Food Cake Mix: This is a great way to start any cupcake recipe since all ingredients are already measured for you. It’s easy to add in flavor; today, we added some raspberry jam and vanilla extract for more flavor.
  • Raspberry Jam: You can either use seedless or regular. Choose a good-quality raspberry jam, like Bonne Maman.
  • Pure Vanilla Extract: Choose an excellent pure vanilla extract when backing. It will elevate the flavors in your baked goods.
  • Frosting: Any type; today, I went with vanilla, but you can also use chocolate.
  • Raspberries: Nothing will make your chocolate raspberry cupcakes better than a fresh raspberry on top! You can also use frozen (but thawed) raspberries or even freeze-dried raspberries. But I think fresh is the best option for this recipe!

How Do You Put Jam Inside A Cupcake?

Have you ever eaten a cupcake and thought, “This is good, but it would be even better with some jam inside?” If so, you’re in luck! I’ll show you how to put jam inside a cupcake in this recipe. It’s easier than you might think!

Spoon your cake batter into the silicone liner, add about one teaspoon of raspberry jam in the center, and add another teaspoon of cake batter over the jam and cover it.

Can You Use Cupcake Liners In Air Fryer?

You can use either paper cupcake liners or silicone cupcake liners in the air fryer.

Both work. I use silicone liners more since they tend to hold in their shape and do not blow around as the paper liners do.

If you use paper cupcakes liners, I would highly recommend that you put them into a metal muffin tin, which will help prevent them from falling over.

Some great silicone muffin liners that I would recommend using in your air fryer are:

Why Should I Bake Cupcakes In The Air Fryer?

With no preheating, this is a quick and easy recipe that everyone can follow. And this recipe only has a few ingredients, so this recipe is quick and delicious! And the best thing is that the summer is coming, and you don’t even need to heat up your kitchen!

How To Store Air Fryer Cupcakes

If you want to make them and store them for a few days, I would not recommend frosting them until right before serving.

Let the cupcakes cool to room temperature, and then place them into an airtight container. They will last at room temperature for about 2 to 3 days. Then right before you want to serve them, frost and decorate the cupcakes.

Freezing Cupcakes

These are excellent freezer air fryer recipes. You can easily make a double or even triple batch and freeze some for later. Let them cool to room temperature, and then place them on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet into the freezer, and freeze until the cupcakes are frozen solid. They will keep in the freezer for about 1 to 2 months.

Then when you want to eat them, place them on the counter until they are thawed. Frost and decorate right before serving.
