Cold Pizza Hut out of the fridge is fine. Pizza Hut out of the air fryer is better than the delivery box — and that’s not an exaggeration. Four minutes at 350°F and the Pan crust goes back to that fried, golden-edged crunch it had when it came out of the pan at the store.

The catch is that Pizza Hut sells four very different crusts, and they do not reheat the same way. Stuffed Crust at Pan-pizza settings will split and leak molten cheese all over your basket. Thin ‘N Crispy at Pan-pizza settings turns into a cracker. Below is the exact time and temperature for each one.
Quick Answer
Set your air fryer to 350°F and reheat Pizza Hut for 3 to 4 minutes, slices in a single layer, no overlapping. Drop to 325°F and add a minute or two for Stuffed Crust. That’s it.
Why the Air Fryer Is the Best Way to Reheat Pizza Hut
A microwave heats the water inside the crust, which is exactly why microwaved pizza goes limp and chewy — you’re essentially steaming the bread from the inside. An oven works, but you’re waiting 10 to 15 minutes for it to preheat to reheat two slices.
The air fryer moves hot air fast across the surface of the crust. The bottom dries and re-crisps, the cheese melts, and the whole thing is done before an oven would have finished preheating. For Pizza Hut’s Original Pan specifically — a crust that’s essentially pan-fried in oil at the store — this is the only reheating method that gets the fried texture back.
If you want the general method for any brand of leftover pizza, I’ve covered that separately in how to reheat pizza in an air fryer. This post is specific to Pizza Hut’s crusts.

Pizza Hut Reheating Times by Crust Type
This is the part that actually matters. Times assume refrigerated slices, not frozen or room temperature.
| Crust | Temperature | Time | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thin ‘N Crispy | 325°F | 2–3 minutes | Burns fast. Check at 2 minutes. |
| Hand Tossed | 350°F | 3–4 minutes | The standard. Most forgiving. |
| Original Pan | 350°F | 4–5 minutes | Thickest base, needs the extra time to heat through. |
| Original Stuffed Crust | 325°F | 5–6 minutes | Lower and slower so the cheese inside the rim doesn’t burst. |
A few things that shift these numbers:
- Cold from the fridge, not the counter. If your slices sat out for an hour, they’ll need less time.
- Loaded slices run long. Meat Lover’s or Supreme has more mass to heat than a plain cheese slice. Add a minute.
- Small basket fryers run hot. If yours tends to cook fast, start checking 60 seconds before the low end of the range.
How to Reheat Pizza Hut in the Air Fryer

Step 2: Arrange in a single layer. Slices should not overlap or stack. Air needs to reach the bottom of the crust, which is the whole point. Two slices per batch in a standard basket, three or four in a larger oven-style model.
Step 1: Take the slices out of the box. Cardboard holds moisture against the bottom crust in the fridge. If your leftovers have been boxed overnight, blot the underside of each slice with a paper towel before it goes in — that thin layer of condensation is the single biggest reason reheated pizza comes out soggy.

Step 3: Set the temperature and time using the chart above. You don’t need to preheat — the pizza is already cooked, and starting from cold just gives you a little more control. If you do preheat, subtract about 30 seconds.
Step 4: Check at the low end of the range. The pizza is ready when the cheese is glossy and just starting to bubble and the crust edge feels firm when you tap it. If the cheese is bubbling hard, you’ve gone slightly long.
Step 5: Lift it out with a turner, not tongs. Tongs squeeze the crust and can drag toppings off. Slide a thin spatula underneath and lift.

Tips for the Crispiest Results
- Put a piece of parchment under Stuffed Crust. If the cheese rim does split, you lift out a sheet of paper instead of scrubbing the basket. Cut it to size and don’t let it hang over the edges where the fan can catch it.
- Don’t add oil or spray. The pizza has plenty already. Spraying it makes the surface greasy instead of crisp.
- Skip the foil unless you have a reason. Foil under the slice blocks airflow to the bottom crust, which is the part you’re trying to fix. Only use it if you’re reheating something that will drip badly.
- Reheat in batches rather than crowding. Batches two and three run faster because the basket is already hot. Take a minute off.
- Two days is the practical limit for texture. Pizza is safe in the fridge for three to four days, but by day three the crust has given up enough moisture that even the air fryer can’t fully bring it back.
Reheating Your Pizza Hut Sides
The sides that came with the order can go in the same basket, just not at the same time as the pizza.
- Breadsticks: 350°F for 2 to 3 minutes. They dry out faster than pizza does, so stay close. If you’d rather make them from scratch next time, my Air Fryer Pizza Hut Bread Sticks come out closer to the original than you’d expect.
- Wings: 375°F for 5 to 7 minutes, flipping once. Wings need higher heat than pizza to re-crisp the skin.
- Cheese sticks: 350°F for 2 to 3 minutes, and watch them — the cheese blows out quickly.
Reheat sides after the pizza, not with it. The temperatures and times don’t line up, and the fryer is already hot by then.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you freeze Pizza Hut pizza?
Yes. Let the slices cool completely, wrap each one individually in plastic wrap or foil so they don’t fuse together, then put the wrapped slices in a freezer bag with the date on it. Frozen Pizza Hut keeps well for two to three months. Wrapping slices individually is the step most people skip, and it’s what lets you pull out one slice instead of chiseling apart a frozen block.
How do you reheat frozen Pizza Hut pizza in the air fryer?
Thaw overnight in the fridge, then reheat using the chart above. If you’re going straight from frozen, use 325°F for 6 to 8 minutes — the lower temperature gives the middle time to thaw before the crust edge overcooks.
How long does Pizza Hut pizza last?
Three to four days refrigerated, two to three months frozen, and no more than two hours at room temperature. Get leftovers into the fridge within two hours of delivery — that window is the food safety limit, not a suggestion.
Do I need to preheat the air fryer to reheat pizza?
No. The pizza is already cooked, so you’re just re-crisping the surface. Preheating shaves about 30 seconds off and gives a slightly crisper bottom, but it isn’t necessary.
Why is my reheated pizza still soggy on the bottom?
Almost always moisture trapped from the box. Blot the underside with a paper towel first, make sure the slices aren’t overlapping, and don’t put foil underneath.
Can I reheat a whole Pizza Hut pizza in the air fryer?
Only if it fits in a single layer, which usually means a Personal Pan in a standard basket. For anything larger, cut it into slices and work in batches. Stacking a whole pie doesn’t work — the middle stays cold.
More Reheating in the Air Fryer
If you order takeout regularly, the air fryer handles most of it. Reheating calzone uses a lower temperature so the filling heats before the outside browns, and frozen pizza rolls work on the same single-layer principle.
