How To Cook Air Fryer Popeye’s Seafood Po’Boy
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Make sure the shrimp are patted dry with a paper towel. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne, and set aside.
Whisk together the egg, buttermilk, and hot sauce in a medium-sized bowl. Dip the shrimp, one at a time, into the flour and shake off any excess. Dip into the egg, letting any excess drip off. Coat in the flour mixture again.
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the shrimp into the basket, not touching it. Generously spray the tops with cooking spray. Air fry for 4 minutes, flipping halfway through. Once flipped, spray again with cooking spray.
Serve on hoagie rolls with mayonnaise, shredded lettuce, and pickles.
