Air Fryer Christmas Cupcakes

I love using my air fryer for baking all of the delicious treats for fall and holidays. I have a few ideas that will be perfect in an ovenless kitchen, such as pumpkin pie spice cookies or sugar-coated apples dipped in chocolate!

I’m looking forward to parties this season, and of course, baking the treats and goodies in my air fryer! Baking is so much fun in the air fryer!

I’ve always wanted to try making cupcakes in the air fryer, and this year was no exception. You can bake five cupcakes at a time or a hundred. The recipe and time will be the same–although the number of batches will differ.

Air fryers are a convenient way to cook without the hassle of using an oven, but they can be tricky at first. Luckily with these simple recipes, you’ll have some great treats on hand in no time!

With more people traveling or simply not wanting their kitchen heated during winter months, many turn towards Air Frying appliances as easy solutions that provide delicious results!

AIR FRYER CHRISTMAS CUPCAKES INGREDIENTS

You can use an air fryer for this recipe, I used my Instant Pot Vortex Plus for this recipe, and I made another batching of my Cosori 5.8-quart Air Fryer as well. You can use a simple chocolate cake mix for this recipe. IF you want to make a homemade chocolate cake mix, use my recipe for Air Fryer Chocolate Bundt Cake Recipe. You can also use this muffin tin for perfect results.

For frosting, you will get better results if you use a Piping bag with a Wilton Tip, which really will make you have a great and easy (but beautiful) frosting. But if you don’t have them, you can always cut the edge of a plastic bag (think Ziploc) to achieve the same pattern for the frosting.

How To Make Air Fryer Christmas Cupcakes

In a large mixing bowl, add the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix well until smooth.

How To Make Air Fryer Christmas Cupcakes

Line your muffin tin with muffin liners, then using a spoon, fill the muffin tins, about 2/3 way full.

Place the muffin into the air fryer basket, and set the temperature to 320 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 10 to 12 minutes. Use a toothpick, and place the toothpick into the center of the cupcake. When it comes out clean, remove the cupcakes from the air fryer.

Let the cupcakes cool before frosting. Add the frosting to the piping bag, and swirl the frosting on top. Add your Christmas decorations on top while the icing is fresh, so they adhere.

FAQ’S

DO I HAVE TO USE CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES?

No, you can use any cake mix that you want. The recipe will work no matter what flavor your want. I used a chocolate cake mix for a great chocolate dessert, which pairs well with the candy canes.

HOW DO I STORE LEFTOVER CUPCAKES?

Store leftover cupcakes in an airtight container for 2-4 days. They will last at room temperature; for best results, do not frost the cupcakes until right before serving.
