Why Make Dog Ice Cream at Home?
Store-bought dog treats are great, but making your own allows you to control the ingredients. Many commercial “dog ice creams” contain sugar, artificial flavors, and additives that aren’t ideal for your pup. With the Ninja Creami, you can make a natural, healthy treat with ingredients you trust.
Ingredients

As always, check with your vet to make sure that these ingredients are suitable for your dog.
- Plain Greek yogurt – Creamy, probiotic-rich base that’s gentle on your pup’s tummy.
- Peanut butter – Make sure it’s xylitol-free (xylitol is toxic to dogs). Adds flavor and healthy fats.
- Banana – Natural sweetness and potassium for your dog’s energy.
- Pumpkin puree (optional) – Great for digestion and adds extra nutrients.
Instructions

Step One: In a mixing bowl, mash the banana until smooth. Stir in the Greek yogurt and peanut butter (and pumpkin puree if using) until fully combined.
Step Two: Pour the mixture into Ninja Creami pint containers, leaving a little space at the top. Smooth the surface with a spoon.

Step Three: Place the containers in the freezer for at least 24 hours until fully frozen.
Step Four: Remove the container from the freezer. Install it into the Ninja Creami, choose the “Ice Cream” function, and process until smooth.
Serve and Enjoy:
Scoop a small portion into your dog’s bowl. Any leftovers can be refrozen and reprocessed as needed.

Tips for the Best Dog Ice Cream
- Small Portions: Serve in moderation to avoid upsetting your pup’s stomach.
- Mix-Ins: Add dog-safe fruits like blueberries or strawberries for extra flavor.
- Consistency: If the ice cream is too hard after freezing, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before processing.
Storing
Want to make it even more fun? Freeze the ice cream in silicone molds for paw-shaped treats! Perfect for birthday parties or just a sunny afternoon in the yard
