Air Fryer French Onion French Toast

Air Fryer French Onion French Toast

Air Fryer French Onion Grilled Cheese Sandwiches are amazing, and you know what, they are super simple to make. If you love a GREAT Air Fryer Grilled Cheese, this is so the recipe for you, especially if you want to add some flare to your next batch of Air Fryer Grilled Cheese.

Today, I used all of the classic ingredients for French Onion Soup, which is my son’s absolute favorite, and came up with this, so easy to make, after I fried up some onions, added some shredded Gruyere Cheese and topped it all off with butter (yes you can use mayonnaise too)

Here is how to Make This Decanta, Lunch for your entire family!!

Ingredients Needed

  • Bread
  • Butter
  • Shredded Gruyere Cheese
  • Fried Onions

How to Make Air Fryer French Onion Grilled Cheese

Start by spread butter on the bread and then place it down onto the air fryer basket. Top with the fried onions and sprinkle some Gruyere cheese on top.

Butter the top of the bread, and then place it on the sandwich. Set the temperature to 360 degrees F for 3-5 minutes. Then flip the sandwich and air fry for another 3-5 minutes, until the sandwich is toasted on both sides.

Can You Use Mayonnaise To Replace Butter?

Butter really gives this grilled cheese incredible flavor, espcially when mixed with the fried onoins. But, if you prefer not, go right ahead and reach for may or a mayo replacement. Many people love the slight change in flavor the mayo gives the grilled cheese. It isn’t a huge difference but it is delicious.

Can I Add Meat To The Sandwich

Want to transform your grilled cheese into a grilled ham and cheese? Or you might want to use up some leftover turkey from the holidays. Go ahead and pile on any of your favorite meats for added flavor to your sandwich.

Does Grilled Cheese Store Well

Unfortunately, no. You will find this sandwich is best served fresh and warm. Otherwise, your sandwich will lose the crispy texture you know and love from this sandwich.
I recommend making these when you want to eat them.
