Description

Bring the taste of Texas Roadhouse home with this Copycat Seasoned Rice recipe. Savory, buttery, and perfectly spiced, it’s a restaurant-style side dish made easy.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter,
  • 2 cups Long-grain white rice, rinsed
  • 1 small white onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Dried parsley, herbal note.
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes, optional
  • 4 cups Chicken broth

Instructions

  • Rinse long-grain white rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Set aside.
  • In a large skillet or saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the diced white onion and sauté until softened and translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Stir in paprika, dried parsley, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to coat the onions in the spices.
  • Add the rinsed rice to the skillet and stir it into the butter and spice mixture, ensuring the rice is coated evenly with the seasonings.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the rice simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through and the liquid is absorbed.
  • After the rice has cooked, fluff it with a fork to separate the grains. Serve immediately as a side dish with your favorite main course. Enjoy your homemade Texas Roadhouse-style rice!
