Ingredients 

  • 12 ounces tuna in oil, drained very well
  • cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper, add more to taste
  • 1 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, or dill, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt, add more to taste

Instructions

  • Flake the drained tuna into small pieces in a large bowl using a fork.
  • Add chopped red bell pepper, finely diced onion, parsley (or dill), lemon juice, black pepper, and mayonnaise.
  • Stir everything together until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning with extra lemon juice, pepper, or herbs as desired.
  • Serve immediately, or chill for 15–20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
