This St. Patrick’s Day Ice Cream made in the Ninja Creami is creamy, festive, and perfectly minty with a bright green color that’s party-ready. It’s an easy homemade dessert that’s fun to customize and guaranteed to be a hit for celebrations or family treat night.
Ingredients
1 ½cupswhole milk
1cupheavy cream
½cupgranulated sugar
1teaspoonpeppermint extract, adjust to taste
Green food coloring, a few drops for that festive color
½cupmini chocolate chips, optional, for mint chip version
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 ½ cups whole milk1 cup heavy cream, and ½ cup granulated sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved. Stir in 1 teaspoon peppermint extract and a few drops of Green food coloring until you reach your desired shade of green.
Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami pint container. Make sure you do not go over the max fill line. Secure the lid and freeze on a flat surface for at least 24 hours.
Place the frozen pint into the Ninja Creami machine and select the “Ice Cream” function. Let it process until smooth.
If the texture looks crumbly, run the “Re-Spin” function once. That usually does the trick.
If making ½ cup mini chocolate chips create a small well in the center of the ice cream and add mini chocolate chips. Use the “Mix-In” function to distribute evenly.
