Ingredients

  • 1 loaf sourdough bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Optional: powdered sugar, maple syrup, fruit, or streusel topping,

Instructions

  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  • Place the sourdough bread cubes evenly in the prepared dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until fully combined.
