Make Red Robin Teriyaki Sauce at home with this easy copycat recipe. Sweet, savory, and sticky glaze perfect for chicken, rice bowls, stir-fries, and dipping.

Ingredients 

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch , + 2 tbsp water, for the cornstarch slurry
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  • Start by adding ½ cup soy sauce, ¼ cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp honey, 2 cloves garlic, 1 tsp fresh ginger 2 tbsp rice vinegar and ½ cup water to a small saucepan. Whisk everything together over medium heat until the sugar fully dissolves and the mixture begins to simmer.
  • Once it starts gently bubbling, stir in a 1 tbsp cornstarch to thicken the sauce. Keep stirring for 2–3 minutes until it turns glossy, smooth, and coats the back of a spoon.
  • Remove from heat and finish with 1 tsp sesame oil for that signature restaurant-style flavor. Let it cool slightly before using as a glaze, marinade, or dipping sauce.
