Do you love Smashburgers? They are one of my favorite fast food burgers. There is something about that perfectly cooked beef patty, topped with mushrooms, Swiss cheese and a delicious truffle mayonnaise that just makes my mouth water. In this blog post, I am going to show you how to make your own Smashburger-style burger at home, using an air fryer. You will not believe how easy it is! Let's get started!
Start by making your burgers, add the ground beef, seasonings, and onions to a large bowl, and combine.
Divide the ground beef into three pieces. Then roll into balls. Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F, for about 3 to 5 minutes, or until it is hot. Add your meat to the air fryer.
Place a small square of wax paper over the meat, and use something to squash down the burger - cook 3-5 min each side.
While the meat is cooking, saute your mushrooms in butter, for a few minutes, or until they are softened.
Place the Swiss cheese on top of the burger, and cook at 300 degrees F, or until the cheese is melted.
Then to serve: Spread the truffle mayonnaise over the buns, add the burger, and some lettuce leaves, and then Place the mushrooms once done over the burgers.
