Omaha Steaks Scalloped Potatoes Recipe is a creamy, cheesy, and indulgent side dish, perfect for family dinners, holidays, or special occasions.
Ingredients
4poundsPotatoes, thinly sliced: (about 8 medium potatoes)
6tablespoonsButter
1/4cupAll-purpose flour
2cupsMilk
1cupHeavy cream
1 1/2teaspoonsSalt, adjust to taste
1teaspoonBlack pepper
1teaspoonGarlic powder
1teaspoonOnion powder
2cupsShredded cheddar cheese
1cupGrated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
In a medium bowl, melt the 6 tablespoons Butter, then whisk in 1/4 cup All-purpose flour until smooth. Gradually add 2 cups Milk and 1 cup Heavy cream, stirring constantly. Season with 1 1/2 teaspoons Salt, 1 teaspoon Black pepper, 1 teaspoon Garlic powder , and 1 teaspoon Onion powder .
Spray the crockpot with cooking spray. Place a layer of sliced potatoes at the bottom, pour a portion of the creamy sauce over them, and sprinkle some 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese and 1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese. Repeat layers until all potatoes, sauce, and cheese are used, finishing with a cheese layer on top.
Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until potatoes are tender and sauce is bubbly.
If desired, sprinkle extra Parmesan on top and broil in the oven for 2–3 minutes for a golden crust.
Let sit 5–10 minutes before serving so the sauce thickens slightly.
