Description

Fall-fair caramel apple flavor in frozen form — apple cider, caramel syrup, and a cinnamon-sugar rim, made in the Ninja Slushi with no ice and no blender.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups chilled apple cider, or apple juice
  • ½ cup caramel syrup, pourable — not thick sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt
  • Thick caramel sauce, for the glasses
  • Cinnamon sugar, for the rims
  • Whipped cream, optional

Instructions

  • Whisk the caramel syrup, lemon juice, and salt into 1 cup of the apple cider until fully combined.
  • Add the remaining cider and stir. Taste — it should be slightly sweeter than you'd want at room temperature.
  • Pour into the Slushi vessel between the minimum and maximum fill lines.
  • Select SLUSH. Run 20–30 minutes, until the unit beeps three times.
  • Drizzle thick caramel inside each glass and dip the rims in cinnamon sugar.
  • Dispense, top with whipped cream and extra caramel, and serve.

Equipment

  • NInja Slushi Machine
  • Pitcher
  • Whisk

Notes

Use pourable caramel syrup in the vessel — thick caramel sauce sinks and coats the auger. Ground cinnamon doesn't dissolve; put it in the rim sugar or use cinnamon syrup. Chill the cider first to roughly halve the run time. Rinse the machine immediately after dispensing.
