Description

Vanilla soft-serve base with real pumpkin pie blended through — filling first, crust second, so the pieces actually stay crisp. Thick enough to hold upside down, and available any month you want it.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 generous slice pumpkin pie, about 1 cup, filling and crust separated
  • Ground nutmeg and whipped topping, to serve

Instructions

  • Whisk the cream cheese and sugar smooth, then whisk in the cream, milk, and vanilla until the sugar dissolves.
  • Pour into a Ninja Creami pint below the MAX FILL line and freeze flat 24 hours.
  • Cube the pie filling into ½-inch pieces, break the crust into shards, and refrigerate both at least 1 hour. Do not freeze.
  • Spin the base on ICE CREAM. Add 1 tbsp milk and RE-SPIN if crumbly.
  • Add the chilled filling and run MIX-IN.
  • Fold the crust shards in by hand with a spoon — do not run the machine again.
  • Serve immediately with whipped topping and nutmeg.

Equipment

  • Ninja Creami Ice Cream Machine
  • Ninja Creami Pint Container
  • Ninja Creami Pint Lid

Notes

Chill the pie, don't freeze it — frozen-solid chunks aren't what the mix-in paddle is built for, and fridge-cold cubes hold their shape fine. The crust never goes through the machine; stirring it in by hand is what keeps it in visible pieces. Extra base pints keep 2 months.
