Description

Make McDonald’s Chocolate Chip Cookies at home with this easy copycat recipe. Soft, chewy centers, crispy edges, and loaded with melty chocolate chips – perfect for dessert!

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Set to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Whisk together 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a medium bowl.
  • Cream 1/2 cup unsalted butter1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar: Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy in a large bowl.
  • Beat in 1 large egg, then stir in v1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Combine dry and wet ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  • Fold in 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Gently mix until evenly distributed.
  • Scoop dough onto baking sheet: Place scoops 2 inches apart.
  • Bake 8–10 minutes until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
  • Cool before serving: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
