Description
Air fryer jam stuffed French toast with a sealed jam center and a granulated sugar coating — like a jam donut, in twelve minutes.
Ingredients
6
slices
bread
,
any type
1/4
cup
strawberry jam
,
or any flavor
1
large
egg
3
tablespoons
milk
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
3
tablespoons
granulated sugar
,
for coating
Instructions
Cut a circle from the center of each bread slice using a 3-inch biscuit cutter.
Spoon 1 tablespoon of jam onto the center of half the circles, leaving a clear border around the edge.
Top each with a second circle and press the edges together firmly to seal.
Whisk the egg, milk, and vanilla in a shallow bowl. Put the granulated sugar in a second shallow bowl.
Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides, and lift out immediately.
Preheat the air fryer if your model requires it. Spray the basket or tray with olive oil and arrange the sandwiches in a single layer.
Cook at 320°F for 5 minutes on the air fryer setting. No flipping required.
Immediately transfer to the bowl of sugar and coat both sides while hot.
Plate, serve, and enjoy.
