Description

The quickest, easiest way to reheat cooked lobster — whole, tails, or claws — in the air fryer. Reheated low and gentle with a brush of butter so it comes out warm, tender, and never rubbery. Ready in 5 minutes with almost no cleanup.

Ingredients

  • 1 cooked lobster, or 1–2 lobster tails, cold
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted (or olive oil)
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 lemon wedge, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Brush the lobster all over with melted butter or olive oil and season lightly with sea salt.
  • Place the lobster in the air fryer basket in a single layer (tails shell-side down, meat-side up).
  • Air fry for 3 minutes, then flip the lobster and air fry for another 1–2 minutes.
  • Check that it's heated through — about 130–140°F (54–60°C) internally. Add 30–60 seconds if needed.
  • Plate, add a squeeze of lemon, and serve immediately.

Equipment

  • Basting brush
  • Instant-read thermometer (optional)

Notes

  • Keep the temperature at 350°F or below — higher temps overcook already-cooked lobster and make it rubbery.
  • For shelled/picked lobster meat, wrap it loosely in foil with a little butter and reheat at 300°F for 2–3 minutes.
  • Let cold lobster rest at room temperature for about 10 minutes before reheating so it heats evenly.
  • Store leftover cooked lobster in an airtight container in the fridge for 2–3 days, or freeze up to 3 months.
  • This method is for cooked lobster only — don't use it for raw or live lobster.
