Description

Learn how to reheat lamb chops in the air fryer so they stay juicy and tender with a crisp exterior. This quick, low-and-slow method warms leftover lamb chops through in minutes without drying them out — no soggy or overcooked results.

Ingredients

  • 4 lamb chops, cooked and chilled
  • Olive oil or cooking spray, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C). Low heat is the key to reheating lamb chops without drying them out.
  • Let the cooked lamb chops sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes to take off the chill so they warm evenly.
  • Lightly spray or brush the chops with a little oil, then arrange them in a single layer in the basket, not touching, so the air circulates.
  • Reheat for 3–5 minutes, flipping halfway through. Thin cutlets warm faster, so check early.
  • Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer. For food safety, the USDA recommends reheating leftover lamb to 165°F (74°C).
  • Rest the chops for a minute or two before serving so the juices redistribute.

Equipment

  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional

Notes

  • Low and slow wins: high heat is the number-one cause of dry, tough reheated lamb.
  • For extra insurance against drying out, mist the chops lightly with oil before reheating.
  • Reheat leftover lamb only once, and refrigerate any portion you don't eat.
