Description

Reheat leftover chicken thighs in the air fryer for juicy meat and crispy skin in about 10 minutes. Works for bone-in, boneless, fried, sauced, and frozen cooked thighs.

Ingredients

  • 4 cooked chicken thighs, leftover
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or avocado oil, optional, for skinless or grilled thighs
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce or glaze, optional, for brushing at the end

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Use 350°F for sauced or frozen thighs.
  • Pat the thighs dry. Brush skinless or grilled thighs lightly with oil.
  • Place the thighs skin side down in a single layer with space between them.
  • Air fry for 4 to 5 minutes, flip skin side up, and cook 4 to 5 minutes more (bone-in) or 1 to 2 minutes more (boneless).
  • Check that the thickest part reads 165°F. If not, add 2 minutes at a time.
  • For sauced thighs, brush on fresh sauce and air fry 1 more minute.
  • Rest 2 minutes and serve.
