Description

This Hooters-inspired Buffalo Chicken Dip is creamy, cheesy, and packed with bold, spicy wing flavor. Made fast in the air fryer, it's the ultimate copycat appetizer for game day, parties, and snacking — served hot with chips, celery, or toasted bread.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup Hooters wing sauce, or buffalo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, optional
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, and wing sauce. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  • Fold in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese (if using).
  • Transfer the mixture to an air fryer–safe baking dish that fits your basket, spreading it into an even layer.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Cook for 8–10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the air fryer, top with sliced green onions, and serve hot with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or toasted bread.

Equipment

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for the fastest prep.
  • Oven method: bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes until bubbly.
  • Slow cooker: heat on LOW 1.5–2 hours, then hold on WARM.
  • Add cayenne or extra hot sauce for more heat; add ranch to mellow it.
  • For the most authentic flavor, use homemade Hooters chicken wing sauce.
  • Store refrigerated up to 3–4 days; freeze up to 2 months.
