3cupsButtermilk
3cupsAll purpose flour
2largeEggs
2teaspoonsGarlic powder
2teaspoonsPaprika
1teaspoonCayenne pepper, to taste
2teaspoonsSalt, to taste
1teaspoonBlack pepper, to taste
Instructions
Start by soaking the chicken pieces in buttermilk and letting them marinate for at least a few hours, or overnight for best results. This step helps tenderize the meat and lock in moisture.
In a separate bowl, mix flour with paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne to build a seasoned coating.
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting excess drip off, then dredge each piece in the seasoned flour until fully coated.
Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the chicken in batches until golden brown and fully cooked through. Drain on a rack or paper towels before serving hot.
