Description
Tender, flaky white fish baked with lemon butter, paprika and lemon pepper, just like the Golden Corral buffet favorite. Ready in 25 minutes.
Ingredients
1.5
lb
white fish fillets
,
about 4 fillets; tilapia, pollock, swai or cod
4
tablespoons
unsalted butter
,
melted
2
tablespoons
fresh lemon juice
1
teaspoon
garlic powder
1/2
teaspoon
onion powder
1
teaspoon
paprika
1
teaspoon
lemon pepper seasoning
1
teaspoon
dried parsley
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1/4
cup
plain breadcrumbs or panko
,
optional
Lemon slices
,
for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line a sheet pan with parchment.
Pat the fish fillets very dry with paper towels and arrange in a single layer.
Stir together the melted butter, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder and salt.
Brush the butter mixture over the fillets.
Sprinkle with paprika, lemon pepper and parsley. Top with breadcrumbs, if using.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes, until the fish flakes easily and reaches 145°F (63°C).
Broil 1 to 2 minutes for a golden top, if desired. Serve with lemon slices.
Notes
Thaw frozen fish fully before baking for the best texture.
If your lemon pepper contains salt, reduce or skip the added salt.
Thicker fillets like cod may need 3 to 5 extra minutes.
Store leftovers in the fridge up to 2 days; reheat in a 300°F oven.
