Description

Bright, tangy, and lightly herby, this First Watch Lemon Dressing is a fresh copycat version you can make at home in minutes. It’s perfect for salads, grain bowls, roasted veggies, or as a quick marinade.

Ingredients 

  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey, optional, for slight sweetness

Instructions

  • In a small bowl or jar, whisk together 1/4 cup red wine vinegar 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 clove garlic, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt and 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper until smooth.
  • Slowly drizzle in 1/2 cup olive oil while whisking constantly to create a creamy emulsion.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice and mix until fully combined.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed—add more lemon for tang or 1 teaspoon honey for sweetness.
  • Transfer to a sealed jar or bottle and shake well before serving.
