Description

These Easy Instant Pot Green Beans are quick, healthy, and delicious—perfectly cooked and ready in minutes for any meal or holiday gathering!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 cup water or broth
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter or olive oil, optional
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)

Instructions

  • Wash and trim the ends of the green beans.
  • Pour 1 cup of water or broth into the Instant Pot. Place the green beans inside, either directly or in a steamer basket.
  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and add garlic (if using).
  • Seal the Instant Pot lid and set it to Manual (High Pressure) for 0-1 minutes depending on how tender you prefer the beans.
  • Once the cooking time is up, perform a quick release by turning the valve to release the steam.
  • If desired, toss with butter or olive oil for extra flavor. Serve immediately!

Equipment

  • Pressure Cooker, Instant Pot or Ninja Foodi
  • Tongs

Notes

Notes:
  • For a softer texture, you can increase the pressure cooking time to 5-6 minutes.
  • To make this recipe vegetarian or vegan, omit the bacon and use a plant-based fat source like olive oil or vegan butter. Substitute vegetable broth for the chicken broth.
  • Experiment with additional seasonings like smoked paprika or thyme for variety.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days or freeze for longer storage.
