Description

Easy Barefoot Contessa Sirloin Tip Roast Recipe is a simple, flavorful beef roast that’s tender, juicy, and perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients 

  • 3 pound sirloin tip roast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 ½ cups beef broth

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Pat roast dry and season all over with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear roast on all sides until browned.
  • Place sliced onion, garlic, rosemary, and thyme in a roasting pan.
  • Set seared roast on top of aromatics and pour beef broth around it.
  • Cover loosely with foil and roast for about 1.5–2 hours, or until desired doneness.
  • Remove from oven and let rest 10–15 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Slow Cooker Instructions
Season the sirloin tip roast generously with salt and black pepper, then sear it in a hot skillet for extra flavor. This step is optional, but it really boosts the taste.
Place the roast in the slow cooker with garlic, onion, rosemary, thyme, and beef broth. Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours or on high for 4–5 hours until the meat is tender and easy to slice or shred. Let it rest briefly before serving for the best texture.
