1 1/4cupall-purpose flour
1 1/4cupred velvet cake mix
8tablespoonsbutter, cold butter, diced
3/4cupmilk
2tablespoonsmelted butter
2tablespoonsSparkling Sugar
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, mix together the 1 1/4 cup red velvet cake mix and the 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour.
Add the cold 8 tablespoons butter and mix well. This helps you get the flaky texture of a scone.
Add the 3/4 cup milk and mix well.
Mix well, scraping the sides down for all of the flour, and cake mix.
Spray your scone pan with olive oil spray.
Spread your scone batter into the cavities.
Brush the top of the scones with 2 tablespoons melted butter and then sprinkle some 2 tablespoons Sparkling Sugar on top.
