Ingredients 

  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cup red velvet cake mix
  • 8 tablespoons butter, cold butter, diced
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Sparkling Sugar

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together the 1 1/4 cup red velvet cake mix and the 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour.
  • Add the cold 8 tablespoons butter and mix well. This helps you get the flaky texture of a scone.
  • Add the 3/4 cup milk and mix well.
  • Mix well, scraping the sides down for all of the flour, and cake mix.
  • Spray your scone pan with olive oil spray.
  • Spread your scone batter into the cavities.
  • Brush the top of the scones with 2 tablespoons melted butter and then sprinkle some 2 tablespoons Sparkling Sugar on top.
  • Set your filled scone pan in the air fryer and set the air fryer temperature to 330 degrees F, air fryer setting, and set cook time for 12-16 minutes, or until golden brown.
