Easy Air Fryer Peach Pie

Description

Make Easy Air Fryer Peach Pie with a flaky crust and sweet peach filling. A quick, delicious dessert ready in minutes without using the oven.

Ingredients 

Crust:

  • 1 thawed pie crust, refrigerated prepared pie crust
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg & 1 tablespoon milk, beaten (egg wash)

Peach Pie Filling:

  • 5 peaches, ripe
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons raw sugar, turbinado, or demerara sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the 5 peaches thoroughly. Peel the skin from the peaches and slice, removing the pit. Dice into small cubes. In a medium bowl, gently combine the peaches with the 1/2 cup granulated sugar.. Cover and place into the refrigerator for about an hour to allow the juice to release from the peaches
  • Drain the juice from the peaches into a heavy-bottom saucepan and whisk in the 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt. Ensure the mixture is well combined.
  • Cook over medium-low heat until the mixture starts simmering. Stir continuously and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture thickens into a syrup. Stir in the 2 teaspoons lemon juice 1/4 teaspoon almond extract, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, remove from heat. Fold in the peaches.
  • Preheat the air fryer temperature to 350 degrees F, air fryer setting. Spray the basket or tray with cooking oil to prevent the pie from sticking to the basket/tray.
  • Remove the 1 thawed pie crust from the refrigerator. Unroll the pie crust on a flat, lightly 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour surface. Then cut the pie dough once in half horizontally and once in half vertically.
  • Use a pastry brush to coat pie dough in 1 egg & 1 tablespoon milk liberally. Scoop one to one and a half tablespoon of the homemade peach pie filling into one of the dough sections.
  • Fold one side over the other, making a pocket shape, and press the ends together with a fork to seal. Repeat this for all of the dough sections.
  • Brush the tops of the pies with egg wash using a pastry brush, and place them into the air fryer basket or tray. Set cook time for 10-15 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking process.
  • Remove from the air fryer and sprinkle with the 1-2 tablespoons raw sugar, turbinado, or demerara sugar.
