Description

Easy Air Fryer Hooter's Buffalo Shrimp recipe with crispy, spicy shrimp tossed in classic buffalo sauce. Perfect appetizer or weeknight meal ready in minutes.

Ingredients

Hooter's Shrimp Ingredients:

  • 1 pound shrimp, raw, deveined, tail removed
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Hooter's Buffalo Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Frank's Red Hot Sauce,
  • 1/4 cup butter, unsalted

Instructions

  • Add the 3/4 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to a small bowl, and mix well. Then coat your shrimp with the flour mixture. Cover and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to help the batter stay on the shrimp.
  • Add the 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup Frank's Red Hot Sauce in a small saucepan, simmer over medium-high heat, and remove after about 3-5 minutes.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper, set the 1 pound shrimp in a single layer into the bottom of the air fryer basket, and set the cooking time for 5-9 minutes, at 390 degrees F, using the air fryer setting. Remove the cooked shrimp from the air fryer basket and stoss with the buffalo sauce.
  • Serve with your favorite blue cheese dressing, celery sticks, and carrot sticks!

Equipment

  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional
