Soft, buttery cookies loaded with colorful sprinkles, baked quickly in the air fryer for a fun, festive, and easy treat.
Ingredients
1stickbutter, room temperature
3/4cupgranulated sugar
1 1/2cupall-purpose flour
1teaspoonbaking powder
1teaspooncream of tartar
1/2teaspoonbaking powder
1teaspoonkosher salt
1largeregg
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1cupsprinkles
Instructions
Begin by creaming the 1 stick butter and 3/4 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually mix in the 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon cream of tartar, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder1 teaspoon kosher salt1 larger egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until a smooth dough forms.
Fold half of the sprinkles into the cookie dough by hand, then pour the remaining sprinkles into a small bowl for topping.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket or tray with olive oil spray, or line with parchment paper. Shape the dough into small rounds, dip each one into the remaining sprinkles, and place them onto the prepared basket or tray.
Set air fryer temperature to 320 degrees F and set cook time for 4-6 minutes. Allow them to firm up as they cool, plate the finished cookies, and continue air frying the remaining dough.
