Description

Fluffy, golden donuts made from refrigerated biscuit dough and topped with a rich 3-ingredient chocolate glaze — ready in just 5 minutes. No deep frying required!

Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough, (Pillsbury Grands recommended)

Chocolate Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Optional toppings:

  • Chocolate or rainbow sprinkles
  • Sea salt flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 350°F for 2–3 minutes
  • Separate biscuits and use a 1-inch round cutter or bottle cap to cut a hole in the center of each. Reserve holes for donut holes.
  • Lightly spray air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place 3–4 donuts in a single layer, not touching. Air fry at 350°F for 5–6 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown. Cook in batches.
  • Air fry donut holes at 350°F for 3–4 minutes, flipping once, until golden.
  • While donuts cook, whisk powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and milk in a shallow bowl until smooth. Add milk 1 tbsp at a time to reach dipping consistency.
  • While still warm, dip or drizzle chocolate glaze over each donut. Add sprinkles immediately. Place on a cooling rack for 5 minutes to set.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Equipment

  • Biscuit Cutter
  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional

Notes

Tips & notes
  • Use Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers for the lightest, most donut-like texture.
  • Do not overcrowd the basket — air needs to circulate for even browning.
  • For flaky biscuits, drizzle glaze with a spoon rather than dipping, to prevent layers separating.
  • Avoid Pam / soy-lecithin sprays — they can damage nonstick basket coatings. Use olive or coconut oil spray.
  • Store in airtight container at room temperature up to 2 days. Reheat at 300°F for 2–3 min.
  • Freeze unglazed donuts up to 2 months. Thaw and glaze fresh.
