Description

Recreate Cracker Barrel's crispy fried chicken tenders at home with this easy recipe. Tender, golden, and packed with flavor, they're perfect for any meal or family gathering.

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken tenders
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Place the chicken tenders in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let them marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  • Remove the chicken tenders from the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off. Coat each tender thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the coated chicken tenders in a single layer, making sure they don’t touch. Lightly spray the tops of the tenders with cooking spray.
  • Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the tenders are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the tenders from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
